PL Mount to FD???

I know about the Hot Rod PL mount but am not wanting to invest in a mount that costs over $1000. I have a lot of great rental houses here in NYC where I can get a hold of zeiss and cooke cinema lenses and am really wanting to start going that route for larger projects.

Does anyone know of a less expensive m4/3 to PL mount that "gets the job done" without messing up the camera or lens? Theoretically, I would assume these adapters wouldn't be that expensive to make.

Thanks~!

Hi Jerry,

Why not just rent the Hot Rod PL kit from the same rental houses that rent you the lenses? They would probably make you a very good deal on a Hot Rod PL rental with a set of lenses.

Best regards,

Hadn't thought of renting the mount from the rental house. I'll check in to see if they have just the mount for rental.

Check my post on Cooke 25-250 & GH-2
Thanks

I read the post and am also curious about what had to be modified to fit PL mount Cooke lenses? As the other person on the forum had mentioned, the m4/3 format not having a mirror or penta-prism allows for PL lenses to attached with just an adapter (and Hot Rod is VERY expensive).
