Looking for a PL mount set of cine glass in the 3k-4k price range. I understand that limits my options a lot but my top interests are:

Lomo Spherical PL Mount (preferably later models)
Early Mark I Sony Primes

Open to suggestions and possibly the right zoom lens.

Thanks,
-S

where are you based?

I have a very nice 80-200 2.8 tamron sp zoom converted to PL by Les Bosher in the UK

Let me know if interested, ok?

Based in Seattle, WA. Looking for a more full range of optics around 25-75 at least. Had a pm on Lomo's but not sure if they'll fit. Would love to find a set of Lomo's in the right housings even if it's just 35-50-75. Thanks!

You may also want to look into Red Pro Primes. Saw a 50mm for $1k on reduser and there are a few more up there. Could put together a decent set for the money I'm sure. There was a MK1 Sony set kicking around on the marketplace for awhile too.

I'd stay away from the lomos since all the sets Ive seen up lately have been pretty expensive for what they are, and they will need service pretty regularly. The cheapest set Ive seen lately is modified oct-18 lenses, so their focus gears are nearly up against the pl mount. I have a vintage arri set that were the same, and it was a pain with positioning a follow focus that close to the mount.

Consider the SLR Magic APO Cine primes. At $6K for a set of three, they are above the range you quoted. But I thought I'd throw them out there anyway.

Before diving into the complex often confusing world of Lomos, do your research. There is a lot to learn about them. This discussion is a good place to start:

Thanks for all the suggestions and info everyone. Super helpful! Doing research and still weighing options.

Hahaha! At first with what you called that link I thought this was a spam posting, until I clicked and read it.

Sorry, I'm out of spam.

Have ordered it, but what I got is full set of 20-25-35-50-85-135mm Sony CineAlta Primes MK2 in PL mount with metric scales.
