C500: PIX240 update allows RGB 444 12-bit with C500

Didn't see it posted anywhere here, but with the recent firmware update by Sound Devices with the C500 you can now record RGB 444 12-bit from the C500 to the PIX240 device. That would be in 2k mode, but other modes may be possible. This is pretty close to "raw" except the signal is de-bayered in-camera for you leaving a nice RGB signal to work with in post. According to some experts the extra color sampling will allow better saturation and separation of colours.

Anyone excited about this, or try it for that matter?

I'd be curious to know how it fairs out over the internal codec, or even through external HD-SDI 422.
