Picture of the elusive RIGHT side of HVX200!

I found this picture of the right side of the camera (with the handstrap). Many people were wondering why this side was mysteriously never shown in any of the pictures we've seen all day... Here you go:

Good find. The right side was like the dark side of the moon--until now. BTW. where'd you snag that from?

all I know is that some of us are probably upset. it's really a bad move.

I ain't buyin this camera. sorry just venting. I realize no one cares what I have to say.
 
The beautiful thing about this camera is ... if you don't want to use the miniDV transport .... DON'T USE IT! shoot directly to P2 or to HDD. OMG!

it's the best of both worlds, and yes they may come out with a model with no deck some time in the future ($500 cheaper?).

I would like to have someone give their opinion on how 100a and the hvx-200 stack up on a "sd comparison" (4:3 recording onto minidv).

upset about what?

i like that it has tape as well as all the other stuff. its got all the goods...it makes me feel better about selling my dvx at some point as well. if it was just memory, id keep the dvx around for times when i dont need hd...but now i can consolidate...

anywho...just my 2cents...

We'll be doing that comparison, but you'll have to give us about six months. The camera won't be available until the 4Q, which means maybe October/Nov/Dec.

Is that a radiation symbol on the handle in the center?

This argument with the tape deck has been going on for way too long. Seriously, if you don't like the tape deck, then don't freaking use it! How hard is that?
 
I can't believe this people are upset about a tape deck? Do they have cams now with tape decks? Don't they understand that P2 cards cost alot? Don't they understand that people still want tape? It make more sense to have tape than not to have it.
 
ok i admit.

if I had the money for it, I WOULD buy it.

but thinking about having to buy everything else, I probably would decide against it.

anyway, no numbers around the zoom ring?
I guess if it was anymore detailed, it would be alot more than $6000.


heck, im not buying it anyway.
