Picture of AF100's bottom?

LOL I figure someone could interpret it in another way... but I'm looking for a how the screw holes are laid out on the cameras bottom. Not the riders ass ;)

Hmmm, fishy Barry. Never seen a pre-production unit with a serial number and manufacture ID. Lucky guy looks as if he has a production model...

Why do people always have to assume that something's "fishy"? Sigh.

That is an engineering sample. I shot that photo of the engineering sample I have on hand. I fuzzed out the stuff because it just seemed like the right thing to do.

There is no such thing as a production model yet. If there was, they'd be selling them...

Thanks Barry. Are these holes placed to indicate some sort of balance point when having a 1kg lens on? How long is that base?

Hi Barry,

Don't know if this is a silly question or not, but is there any way you can give us the center hole to center hole distance between the two? In mm?

Aloha,

Jeff

Millimeters? What are those? I'm not Canadian... :D

Seriously, I just pulled out three tape measures, not one was marked in millimeters... sigh. But it looks like center to center is just short of 35 32nd's of an inch, so ... 27.5mm approx?

Well, seeing as how it IS made in Japan... ;-)

I just put a ruler to my Cavision base plate, and lo and behold, the distance on center between the 1/2 and 3/8 pukas (that's Hawaiian for holes) are 27.5mm. Perfect!

Thanks Barry!

Those would be threads for attaching a slide plate and the balance would be obtained by sliding the plate in the baseplate.
