Pics of shoot35 Ltd 'CINEbox' 4x4 Matte Box Prototype

Wayne,

Do you have any measurements/specs as to vertical/horizontal adjustability; like from center of rods or top of rods. I know some of these rail systems with DSLR's don't always center/raise the lens to an exact, consistent location.

Thanks, looks great. -cp

Shoot35 FF v1 owner!

Wayne, since you are highly active in these forums (which I know is appreciated by the memers in these forums) can you advise what the differences really are between various matte boxes, what purpose they are "suppose" to serve (instead of for cool looks), and how the Cinebox will blow the water out of the competition?

thank you :)

Wayne,

I have been waiting for weeks to get to May 25th. Your website said your would have the 'CINEbox' 4x4" Matte Box will be back in stock on the 25th May 2011. Its the 25th of May at 7:25am and I tried to order it and I got a message: Sorry! Due to high demand, we have sold out of this item. This item will be back in stock on 8th June '11. How did you run out that fast? Or did you ever have any at all?

Wayne, At about what MM wide (on either a FF or 1.6x body) do the 4x4 filters start to become limiting? I'm assuming I couldn't use a Tokina 11-16 on a 7D or a 14L on a 5D with this, correct?

For anyone else, is there another unit, even a second-hand one, that offers what the Shoot 35 does for about the same price? ($1000 USD)

What is the closest competitor? The Redrock one?

Also, does anyone know what is a good starting set of filters? A polarizer and a couple NDs? What kind of price am I looking at for good filters? You don't want to spend 1k+ on a matte box only to fill it with cheap filters, right?
