Hi Guys,
We are pleased & excited to be able to show the first pics of the CINEbox prototype. For those who haven't been following our project progress, the CINEbox is our upcoming 4x4 Matte Box System, progress can be seen in this thread: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?t=213956
As a prototype, there are a few tweaks to be made but we are generally very happy with the unit. The main tweaks to make are:
Adding a textured finish to the outside of the main ABS shade
Matting out the interior of the shade
Increasing the size of the flag thumbscrews
Spacing out the stage thumbscrews.
The swing away design works well and is very solid, it works very much like the way our rods clamps tighten to the 15mm rods.
The rear rubber bellows and ring clips onto the connection ring installed onto the lens using 3 spring balls, you can see these on some of the pics.

And for the purists out there, we will also be offering an all black version.
The weight of the CINEbox is as follows:
With 15mm clamp, swingaway, bellows but NO flags: 850g
With 15mm clamp, swingaway, bellows & top flag only: 956g
With 15mm clamp, swingaway, bellows, top & side flags: 1.1kg
We will soon be going into production & manufacture, so we will then have a muchg better idea of lead time and release dates.
