Photos from Carlos Santana Concert 6 April 2008

[Matt Gottshalk]

Derek Trucks opened up for Santana. For those of you who live in a cave, DT is the current lead guitarist for the Allman Brothers, and is a phenom on the axe.

Yeah, I had good seats.

The man shreds.

Santana motions for his roadie to bring him another spleef.

I had no idea one of the world's best drummers, DENNIS CHAMBERS, was touring with Santana. That was quite a treat for me, being a drummer.

DT came back and jammed with Carlos at the end.

Cool. Camera, lens, focal length (if zoom), y'know... exif data?

Great photos Matt. That must have been quite something to see. Carlos has been a favorite of mine since the early 70's. Crap, I'm old!
Really good shots.

I looked up the ( http://www.luminous-landscape.com/reviews/cameras/sony828.shtml ) F828. Pretty nice camera in many respects.

I like your photos and I like the compositing. I also like Carlos. Saw him at Winterland in San Francisco in 1971.

(Baltimorean) Dennis Chambers is pretty cool about the monsters he plays with.

Nice shots!
