Uncompressed footage

Uncompressed footage

I think you have a great visual eye and really like the Letus/dvx set up. I'm thinking seriously about the set up to make some documentary style productions. What I would like to know is does the footage stand up to real broadcast situations, its hard to tell with YouTube's high compression. Is it possible to post some of the videos less compressed or maybe would just like your opinion on if the footage looks too soft at times for serious documentary needs, Cheers James

Hmmm.. I am not in broadcasting James, so I would not be able to give you any technical advise on that unfortunately. However it is an interesting question and I hope some of our more technically proficient guys here can help out, perhaps? I do however hope to be more technically proficient but its a steep learningcurve for me given my lack of aptitude towards anything technical. The picture is definitely softer than without the adapter, but I like the look with the adapter.

Thank you for the compliment on the work. What I'd like to do is something with higher production value and shoot a proper music video or even a short.

I do have some decent uncompressed footage that is of higher quality but unfortunately I have no forum to put it up in. If you PM me your email I'll pass it along..

That was very nice. Great shots. One that really stood out to me was the shot of the man in shorts toward the beginning standing near the line of trees. Those trees just popped for some reason.
