GH1 photo downloader "no name" camera - driver needed?

Recently I just bought my GH1. I'm trying to download photos from a recent trip. I've connected the camera to my Macbook Pro - equipped with Adobe CS5 creative suite.

I can down load the photos alright but when Photo downloader launches and sees a "no name" camera. Is there some software drive that I need to download. Believe me I like to learn on my own without getting going for the quick and easy route but I've Googled this several times and get linked to Panasonic, etc website and there is way too much info for weed through.

So,
1)why am I getting "no name" in photo downloader?
2) also how do I "eject" the camera from my Macbook Pro. Now I turn it off but I get an error msg which says finder>disk>eject - which when I go to file/eject - it doesn't show a device mounted.

Not sure about the No Name, but whenever I put a memory card in our card readers the card shows up as No Name. Also, to eject, try dragging the card/camera icon on the desktop into the trash.

it's funny, when I connect my iphone it recognized it but not my expensive camera.:undecided

Regarding ejecting the icon from the desktop. I don't get an icon on the desktop to eject. Weird.

Weird...Honestly I'm not a Mac person so I'm out of ideas, sorry!
