Philip Bloom with the FS700

The more I see from this camera, the more I'm excited to get it. So awesome.

It seems like the Metabones works with the FS700, as that's what PB is using with his Canon lenses.

THe footage looks great and Bloom does a good job of making it look and feel "cinematic";however, I don't think Sony has made any huge improvements regarding highlights - Check at 1:50.

I read his comments and he says the Metabones isn't working perfectly yet. But I'm sure a firmware update will fix that.

As for the highlights, they seem to be pretty good to me overall. According to Frank G. who has tested the FS700 probably more than anyone, he says the highlights and color are very noticeably improved, and he would definitely know.

Philip said that every time he shut off the FS700 it reset the PP, due to it being a preproduction model. So that's probably why the hilights may have looked shotty in some shots.

I would like to see more 24p footage. Seen enough 240. 99% of the time will be spent at 24/25/30p.

Notice the flickering lights in the last shot at 3:31. I wonder if you can play with the shutter speed in slo mo modes.

Dying to read this FS700 review when it goes up. What time is it where Bloom is at compared to here in the US?

Me too. First time I've noticed that. (kind of distracting/annoying...) Then again, all the other footy I've seen in 240 was fairly well lit daytime (sun) footy.

Highlights look great no color issues that I see this is the best cam so far in price point and picture rendition IMO

I'm really liking This camera! Picture looks great, build in ND is super, slow motion is incredible at price range, SDI out is plus over HDMI. 4K ready adds icing on the cake.

I was wondering about the blinking lights also. Correct me if I got it wrong, but I remember a while back, Barry Green mentioned that if you shoot with a shutter speed of 60, you will not get flickering lights because that's the same frequency of electric lights (60 hertz). Or something like that.

But when you shoot high speed, the shutter speeds should be increased. I'm wondering if you shoot at high frame rates, but kept the shutter speed at 60, would it not cause flickering? Would there be too much motion blur if you kept the shutter speed at 60 for high frame rate shots?
