I didnt really noticed this before but now it seems to be a problem

how to correctly edit and export PF30 or PF24 files in Premiere CS6 ? I see interlaced frames every few seconds

here is my clip info

Im a lazy guy

my work flow is drag clips directly on the timeline, if it asks me to change sequence settings then I change

But in the sequence setting it shows that my sequence is AVC-intra 100 1080I 60hz

When I export the image quality is even lower than my 5D3.

So I just opened a new sequence and changed the sequence to avchd 1080P 30p but I immediately see motions not smooth (looks like you force convert a 24p to a 30p, a bit laggy feeling)

and if I interpret footage from upper field first to progressive, I see interlace frames so Obvious!

ahh its just pain~! what should I do? Im on PC, with CS6, need a fast workflow

Shawn, I'm on a Mac with CS6, but I don't see why you're having the problem. Are you using Media Browser to import the clips? I set my projects up as you mentioned, AVCHD 1080 30P and then select all the clips in the bin, and Modify>No Fields. Works fine. You might try dragging a clip down to the new sequence icon to create a new sequence.

Good luck!

Turning off interlacing like you are doing in the example above only works for 30PSF. Don't even bother with 24PSF...that workflow is a total headache. Shoot in just 24p.

yeah but if you are doing this way your sequence should be 1080I , PP does not recognize that as tru progressive, instead it is still interlaced

Boy, now I am confused. From my described workflow, it seems fine. Being new to this, what am I missing?

Shawn, I've done some C100 30PSF work with both CS5 and CS6 (but mostly 24p). I don't recall having problems.

Try this: First thing after you import your footage, interpret it to "No Fields (Progressive Scan)" as you already did. Then drag the footage to the "new item" icon on the bottom of the project panel. It looks like a post-it-note with the bottom left corner folded over. It's "K" in this image: http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/p...images/workspace/PPRO-CS5_ProjectPanel_02.gif

That should create the correct sequence settings for your progressive footage.
