Perspective

Visually the movie pretty good, gun looked very fake, guy getting shot in the head would have been convincing if it was supposed to be a cap gun. Every cut was extremely noticeable because the background noise changed and the vocal levels were extremely inconsistent. Get a boom mic and blend the background noise together, or at the very least adjust the levels so close shots aren't always much louder than wide ones. At 2:04 he picks up the camera, which confused the hell out of me. It would have been a lot easier to watch if the sound were passable.

thanks man, i always focus too much on visuals when audio is just as and maybe even more important. I didn't have anyone to work the boom so the audio is a bit rough. The reason for picking up the camera is because i was trying for the "bag perspective" which is sort of the theme. I'm definitely gonna have a boom man next time.

I liked the story and the cinematography. The story was pretty clever and the shots you had were very consistent as far as continuity. HBlack is right about the sound though. Every time the scene changed the sound changed and that's a sure sign of amatuer video. I would definately use a boom mic., but you can still fix the sound. Just adjust the levels up and down to match and add a fade-in audio filter between the cuts, so the transition of sound will be smooth instead of abrupt.

Also, when they were in the desert for instance and the homeless guy was watching the scene wide, everytime we saw the homeless guy we heard his audio, when we should have been hearing the audio of what he was seeing (the two guys). Let the entire audio for the two guys below play through even when we see the homeless guy. You should do the same for some of the other scenes. Just go back and check out some of your favorite movies and pay close attention to how the audio never seems to be abrupt and is always consistent.

Also, the gunshot sound sounded a little fake. Maybe you could double it up. Add the same sound twice and maybe add a little echo and that would fix it. The shot shooting the guy in the head looked much better and more real on the wide shot.

Anyway, keep up the good work. I really think once you fix the audio you'll have a pretty good flick.

Or if you really want a challenge, delete the audio altogether and dub everything. It'll probably end up sounding much better.
