Periodical Workout Thread ...

Haven't posted in a while. For a couple weeks I ended up slacking off way back when. But for about a month and a half solid I haven't been missing any workouts, I've been eating clean for the most part and I feel great. Lean muscle mass is definitely increasing and my lifts are getting better.

I got back in the game this summer. My primary source of transportation these days is my Kona. Everything is accessible by bike in Mankato. :D I ride an average of 3 miles per day.

In addition to riding I have been lifting and I even started jogging. EEK GAD! I never thought the day would come when I voluntarily ran.

For lifting:

Squats
Bench Press
Pull downs
Dips
Chin ups
Hammer Curl
Dumbbell Shoulder Press
Bicycle kicks

Everything is 2 sets of 6-8 reps except for kicks. That's how every many I can do.

On Tuesday I got the courage to run 3 miles! I might go running again today, depending on the heat.

Is there anyone that needs to lose 30 lbs that wants to have a friendly competition? I need a little motivation to drop back down.

I'm willing to put up a $200 5" SD Marshall LCD on my end for someone that takes up the offer then beats me.

AND... I'm looking for someone that is more interested in losing the weight than getting a free monitor. For me, even if I lose, but come close, it's worth losing the monitor to get the weight off.

I'm at about 170. I'm 5'6" and need to get down to 130, but 30 lbs is a decent start.

Obviously we would take dated photos at the start of the contest.

I'm in the green "tokyo" shirt in this picture. I've got face/neck weight, stomach, love handles and man boobs to lose.

I went from 135 to 180 back between Sept and Oct of last year. While most people look at me as say that I cant possibly be 30 lbs overweight, I ran into someone in Hollywood last Friday who hadnt seen me in a year and he quickly said "Holy F#ck! What happened? You're FAT!"

I need to get back down.

His IMDB says he's 5'6", but I call bullsh*t. He's like 5 feet tall.

No. He's right. Glad someone has the balls to tell the truth.

And you are just a much tougher man than I am.

haha, you didn't have any other picture you could have shown?

I'm 5'11" 210 lbs. I haven't ever weighed 180 at my current height, so I'm not sure if I can do it! If I were to challenge you, do I have to put something up too?

LOL. I dont take too many photos.

As for you putting something up, well yeah. You cant WIN something without RISKING something. And no, I dont HAVE TO have a wager, but I just think it would help with motivation.

haha, ya i don't really have anything to wager. I'd be down with trying it though! Maybe we can get a few more people in on this. We could all start on the same day and from there it's a race to the finish!

Is it just me or does anyone else feel the pressure to do something with the olympics on tv everyday? :D

Ran the 5km in 26 minutes yesterday :) I was pretty stoked!

yes, it definitely pumps you up!

Funny you ran a 5K, I just ran one too...26:57 for me. I was happy that I didn't have to stop at all, I've never ran a 5K before.
