SHORT: PERCEPTION (Inception inspired)

The fight choreography looks pretty good, but speed the action up just a little bit and you have to have sound effects. You need noises for everytime there is a punch or a block. Maybe even a swoosh for when they swing. The muzzle flash looked okay, but the sound of the gunshot was no good. Get a copyright free sound, even if you have to pay for it. It will make a huge difference. Great dolly shot at the lake! Sound effects again for the two fight sequences at the end. Your editing was pretty good and the music was excellent. I thought the story was good as well. I don't really know how close it was to the movie "Inception," because I've only seen it once. Oh, also, in some of the scenes you might want to do voiceovers for the audio to bring the actors' voices out more, because it was a little hard to hear. Sometimes the background noise was louder than the voices.

This was a pretty good action piece. Fix those minor things and it'll be even better IMO.

Oh, love the title too BTW.

Thanks for the input! I agree with both of you.

1) The plot is very unclear and it IS hard to follow. Its non-linear...and its a confusing more than complex which is what we were aiming for. We spent more time thinking about how we could make references to Inception or use shots that looked cool and weren't necessarily focused on the story. We came up with the idea within a few hours the night before we started shooting the 1st of 3 days.

2) The audio and sound effects. I'm cheap. :) But its the first big production i've used with that mic (and a boom pole) so i'm happy with it.

Anybody else? Comments or suggestions? I'm trying to learn here!
