T2i Pentax K-Mount for T2i?

I got an old Pentax SLR and two lenses (SMC Pentax 50mm f/2 & Vivitar 28mm f/2.8) from my grandfather a while back, but recently bought a t2i. I'm a total beginner, but I think these are a k-mount type. Does anyone know if they can be mounted on the T2i? If so, any recommendations for a decent adapter? And does anyone have experience using these lenses for video? Is it even worth the effort?
I've done a small bit of research but found conflicting opinions. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have the same lenses you mentioned (plus a 70-150) and you can get a simple mechanical adapter off amazon or eBay for something like $20. I'd recommend 1 adapter for each lens, rather than constantly swapping.

Can't say about video, but I use them on my xs to great effect.

EDIT: here's one for $30

Thanks Kevin, I'd read that it wasn't possible with this type of mount, but had also see an adapter on ebay once. Now that I have proof that someone's actually done it, perhaps I'll pick one or two up. Cheers!

ahh, ok. Perhaps I misread the article that I found. Anyway, an upgrade to full frame is not something i'll be doing anytime soon. Thanks for the link! Time to pick a couple up!

Sure it's possible. Of the four lenses in my kit, three are old Pentax k-mount. I'm actually shooting a short right now using Pentax glass older than I am!
Just get some adapters off of ebay for $10 each, pop them on the lens and there you go.

I use a bunch of pentax lenses too, but be careful about the ones that you do buy. I originally bought a cheapo one off ebay but after not too long the sprung piece of metal that keeps it tightly around the lens came loose so that it would turn slightly in the mount, a real pain when you're trying to focus as the lens would turn a couple of mm before the focus ring would. I highly recommend the fotodiox adapters, i've got three of them now and haven't had any similar problems.

Sounds like we have the same ebay adapter...mine's a little loose, too. Good to hear the fotodiox ones are better - I've been happy with their extension tube set so far.

Yeah I have one adapter that is so loose that it causes the lens to fall right off the camera when I change my aperture. Luckily I've been hanging on to the lens every time that has happened.

Thanks for the input fella's, I've ordered the fotodiox adapters. Lookin' forward to trying out these lenses.

I bought a Pentax K mount off Amazon and I got the cheaper one to save money. Turns out, yup, it's loose. What my uncle did was put tin foil inside to act as a "shim" or "bushing" of some sort. Basically it made it fit fairly snug.

Spend the extra money for a Fotodiox one....... My Nikon to EOS Fotodiox adapter is in the mail..
