Peleng 8mm fish-eye now with m4/3 mount

The Peleng is pretty sweet on the GH1, and by default it already has an interchangeable mount (it comes with Nikon and M42, or at least mine did). If someone sells the mount separately, I'd probably be interested in that.

It easily covers the full GH1 sensor, yes. Doesn't cover the full 7D sensor, there's a very small vignette in the corners of the 7D, but on the GH1 it's a full-frme lens with massive barrel distortion.

Samyang are producing a Four Thirds version of their 8mm fish eye, which is a different design to the Peleng and is designed for APS-C sized sensors. The samples I've seen online look really nice ( if that's your thing ).
They are making a video DSLR version of their other lenses, the 85mm 1.4 and the 14mm 2.8, with a step-less aperture ring. So I emailed them today to ask if this version would be available in 4/3 mount and they came back saying that they'll be shipping in the next few weeks.

One of my Canon FD adapters allows for step-less aperture ring adjustment which will come in handy. Wish they had that feature on all lens adapters.

Good thread. Down the road I think I will grab one of these 8mm fisheyes.

I have been waiting for the samyang 14mm.

On that note does anyone know when the panasonic 14mm will be available and for what price.
