C300: Pearstone Dual charger

This may or may not be a revelation to anyone here, but I fell upon this by accident. Awhile back I purchased a Pearstone Dual charger for Sony batts for almost $80. In the last four months it stopped displaying anything and then stopped charging any of my batts using different plates. Very disappointing. I realized the warranty lapsed and there wasn't any recourse. Pearstone, to their credit, was very helpful and offered a reconditioned model for $30. However, i realized they sell a version for Casio that is only $20. Since it is the same charger with interchangeable plates you can actually just buy the Canon plates separately and you've got a dual Canon charger for under $25. I've got it charging my C300 batts now. Pretty good deal!

i have the pearstone dual charger for 2 wasabi batts that are cheap verysions of the canon c100 batts. so far so good. i wont put my canon battery on the pearstone though. so far so good on the pearstone with the wasibi's. overall a good setup for cheap.

I've had the Pearstone dual charger for a few months now, and everything has been perfectly fine with it so far. The plastic seems pretty delicate, though, so I don't use it as a field charger. It pretty much lives in one place in my office and I use it to charge expired batts when I'm home, mostly my Wasabi clones that I use on my TVlogic. Hopefully that kind of treatment will extend the life, but so far so good.

I also have a few pearstone chargers for my canon LP's, Panasonic batteries, sony NPF and also for the C100 batteries. it's nice being able to mix and match plates to accomadate any of these at any given time.

I have the same experience as Brian. I have had two plates for it die. It's fragile, but helpful to charge a boat load of batteries.
