Pcmcia Adapter For Macbook 13"

I had a good look at the macbookpros this week and the sole reason I went for a Toshiba PC laptop was because the mac didn't have a PCMCIA slot or any adaptor for it.

My new laptop takes 2 mins 10 seconds to copy accross a 4 gig card from the PCMCIA adaptor, which is great. In that time we can have a run though of the next shot and the actors/crew will hardly be standing around waiting for the p2 card to copy.

I then have a network at home and just copy the contents of the p2 cards striaght over the the G5 mac and job done!

They say that oly works with windows and linux... but we have bootcamp in mac... so maybe it works for macbooks too.

That is unfortunate... But I think Barry had said that a company was in the process of making one that is an actual cardbus that should work.

I bought the macbook and it's kicks booty. LOVE it. For the cash, it beats any laptop out there.. and yes. I"m running windows on it and flawlessly I might add. I did a 6 hour webcast in wmv last night without a single problem....

The problem with the MacBook is there is no slot whatsoever.

And any cardbus slot or adapter must be 32-bit.

I've been searching and searching for such a thing for my MacBook Pro. Ive spoken to several Techs Directly and it seems there are soon going to be inexpensive options for P2 import. Of course NONE of these options involve USB (Besides USB is for your mouse and keyboard, NOT professional Video)
Cardbus adapter to express card shouldnt be that difficult nor should Cardbus to SATA. Of course the MacBook does not have a slot so Id look into another solution.
