Pci Card+ Hvx+ Hdd= Huge P2 Storage?

[nadalpiantini]

I got my new hvx200 pal. We will start shooting the movie (www.elmanuscrito.net) in two weeks in Spain. I dont have a P2 card yet and had to sell the firestore thru ebay because it was ntsc.
They say necesity is the mother of creativity or something like that. Im gonna plug the Hard Disk Drive to a pci card into the p2 slot to see what happens...

Nothing is gona happen.

P2 is more then dumb storage.

I wish that worked...

Then we could all just used pc card to CF card adapters...

[Jarek Zabczynski]

Hell, might as well just stream the footage to your computer using a wifi card in the P2 slot.

nice thought but - umm, NO.

The P2 card has some kind of software that i can emulate or copy in the external HD to trick the HVX?

[daveswan]

Not a chance! If it were that easy we'd all be doing it!

I actually use one of those PC card adapters to use my HVX as a modem so I can access my AOL dial-up email account. I just surf the web using the HVX's LCD panel, or I can look in the viewfinder.

Pick up an 8 gig card, search iStore on the forums and your good to go.
