GH4 paypal? question

So I have not had a bank account in a while and I just start job month ago and Im going to open one up and start a paypal account, Ive been getting messages from people online wanting to buy my hpx170 for around 1600-1800, Is paypal 110% Legit and know way to get scammed? Thing that throws me off is when the person says they are buying it for their son or daughter. thanks for any advice, if I should just stick to local cash deal transaction. also not knowing the condition of the item ect.

ok so if I get payment from someone theres no way they can scam me?
I know its legit but ive gotten some of those Ill pay with paypal type #%(& and they ask to ship it to nigeria or egypt I know thats not realistic.
 
Well I think they could complain to PayPal they never received and request refund. If you are worried I would try selling locally first.

Indeed, but as was previously mentioned, ship only to a verified address (unless you are sure of the transaction) - PayPall will tell you if that is the case.

Also be prepared to for their hefty fees and if you have not done much business with them, they may hold your money for up to 21 days or up to proof of delivery.
 
when people start telling you who or even why they are buying, without asking some valid question (not related to price or delivery) thats OFTEN a red flag
