First, sorry for my bad English!

Ich will present my new Parkour-Advertisment.
with Making-Of.

Filmed with Panasonic HPX500 (first Camera) and HVX 200 (second Camera).
Making Of - Camera i do myself, with the Canon XHA1.

I've cuttet the Making-Of on AVID.
The Advertisment has cuttet the Regisseur (on AVID), the Finishing (Colorcorrection etc.) i have done.

The Advertisment was recorded to 35mm Film and brought to an Region of Cinemas in South Germany.

YouTube - Welde-Parkour

Sorry, the making of has German Language. But (i think) its interesting an you could see how we make the "Look and the work" of the Advertisment.

Critice, Statements and Submits are always welcome !

Well done, Landsmann :)
Do you mind giving some insight on what lens you used on the HPX? Assuming you were the cameraman/dop. Looked all very very nice, no wonder it took 6 weeks for post.
If you're ever in Hong Kong send me a pm and we go for a beer!

Cool. Where are you in South Germany btw? I'm from Ulm originally.

Ok, now i'm understand your "Landsmann"

Do you speak German?
How long are you in Australia?

I'm from Ludwigsburg.
Do you know "Filmakademie"?
The Film School with a very good Reputation in the world.
I'm sitting with my Destination only 800m behind from the Filmakademie....

I am German, living and working in Hong Kong now, not Australia.
I have heard of the Filmakademie. I do independent films now, directing, DOP etc.
In September will be my first work on a feature film as DOP so I am looking to buy a HPX 500 but it's quite expensive. Using HVX now.

The Lenses were:
Fujinon HAc 18x7,6 B-10 CineStyle Zoom 7,6 - 136,6 mm
Fujinon HAc 10x5 B-10 CineStyle Zoom 5 - 50mm

This illustrates how higher end lenses really have an impact on the image quality.

The detail is quite high.

Enjoyed it and thanks for posting!

Prost!

Totally agree Bassman. THose lenses are killer.

Thanks for sharing xandix. Looks like a cool group to work with. Shame about the crap overcast no contrast shoot day, but that's they way it rolls.

Oh hell yeah. Not anywhere near cheap. Though renting based on job/quote isnt too bad - youve got to learn to be nice to your local rental house.

Even better, I think I'll never be renting stuff in Hong Kong. For one, there aren't too many rental shops for this kind of items and another thing is I don't trust half of them. I think service has gone real bad here in the past years.
I mailed several rental shops asking about some stuff recently, they don't even care to reply if you don't say you actually wanna rent something.

Will be shooting a feature in Kuala Lumpur in September, curious if they got any good rentals there.

Yes the Camera and the Lenses are from a rental house in Berlin.
The (Buying-)Price from the Lenses are expensive, but there were very good.
The rental price were ok. Only 80Euro the day more than the Standard Lenses.

So its a nut in costs of the whole Advertisment.

Well worked well then. Sorry Ive been in Japan and they are relentless with bright sunny beer commercials :P

There is a parcour group here too and I know some of them. Have been planning to do a parcour film but too many projects at the same time :(

Too many Projects arent good.
But Parkour is very "hip" and (in Germany) there is a big "Underground Scene" .
So i think this would be so in other Countrys, even so in HongKong?.:undecided

I've seen this film at hackmovies.de aswell. Looked really nice. Overall really solid work!

Some minor nitpicks:
- The scream of the woman at the beginning. Looked pathetic.
- There was not enough parkour stuff
- The camera angles for the parkour parts didn't work for me
- The overall pacing could have been a little bit smoother

Just minor nitpicks. Some awesome work in there!

That sounds awesome! Can't wait till I'm there. Would love to do a project that involves some parkour, as I am into parkour/tricking myself. Sadly I've been injured during the last few months. :(

Here is some indoor stuff from me:

And my latest short film, which contains some action as well:

Shameless plug :D
