pany g6 ...gh2 replacement !

If it has clean HDMI out I just might have to say "Yikes!"

It looks like there is a mic input but no headphone output.

Lower bitrates, (allegedly) older sensor, no headphone output but price is nice considering what it DOES have.

..over at eoshd , they're really ditching this youtube footage. I wish they'd put it up at vimeo, but as for detail, I downloaded and converted to mpeg and it looks like detail to me ! It does have mud however...but you can't tell if that's in the original or faulted to youtube encoding. This camera will be all over the place in 2 months ...then we'll have the answers.

Most of these manufacturer or early test clips are sub par quality for some reason... for example, the videos from Nikon (not the Chase Jarvis ones) I've seen in the past have been the same way. Lower quality compression, etc. I suspect the video is at least as good as an un-hacked GH2, possibly better.

From DPReview hands on:

"In terms of core photographic features, the G6 offers a solid set of specifications, including the same sensor as the once range-topping GH2, albeit without that model's multi-aspect feature."

So, no multi-aspect.

no multi -aspect..... but timelapse, stopmotion, focus peaking, sweep panorama, 1080/60p in avchd and mpeg, oled evf, wifi and nfc, zoom toogle, and manual control etc etc . Yea, I wish it had the multi-aspect function of that sensor for photos more than video...and I wish it had 720/120. Maybe for the g7 .

Surprising: "Microphone level adjustable: 19 levels"

No Headphone..maybe a way to turn AV out into headphone mon?

A very nice GH2 update. If it gets hacked, there's no reason for GH3 to exist (unless you DO need a w/sealed body)

Headphone jack is reason enough for the GH3. I'm not recording audio w/o monitoring it live & I really like not having to worry about dual recording & syncing in post.

So many consumer video cameras have headphone jacks (& honestly a headphone jack is so simple), it is a shame it is such a rare feature on DSLRs when they're heavily advertising the video recording capabilities.

I don't think it was a bus ...don't recall seeing any glass reflections...maybe a delivery van .

Its from the tram (street car) somewhere in Austria. Note railwas on the other side of the street.
