GH2 Panny 20mm or Olympus 25mm

I already own the Panny 20mm. What would I gain by picking up the new 25mm from Olympus? I shoot weddings and at times I use the 20mm as the bride walks down the aisle, however from a distance its too wide. I'm looking to get a closer view, I also at times use a Minolta 50mm 1.7 which I love but as the father passes the bride to the groom its a rather tight shot. I recently picked up a Tamron 17-55mm 2.8 which is great but not so good in low light ceremonies. Thinking the 25mm might be nice since it's a 1.8.

But I also noticed that Nikon has a 35mm 1.8 which might fit my need. Does anyone know it this lens and adapter might work together?

I know that Metabones makes and adapter for around $140 with aperture control - but that might be a little out of budget plus the price of the lens and not have focus control as if I just picked up the Oly 25mm.

It may be out of your price range, but the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 zoom with a Speedbooster would give you the whole range you need, and the low light ability for darker weddings. You would lose the autofocus, though, so I'm not sure if that's important to you.

Thanks for the reply - but this would be way over my budget. Still looking to see if the Nikon 35mm 1.8 and an adapter would work for me. Anyone have experience with this lens/adapter combo and the Gh2?

Have you considered a 35mm Canon FD f2? I just recently picked one up, and it's a GREAT focal length. It's not as sharp (It doesn't seem) as the 20mm (which I also have) but it might fit what you're looking for.

The focal length difference between 20 and 25 is really only a few steps closer though. I cheekily add 20% digital creep zooms or crops in post without anyone batting an eyelids.

Sigma 30mm f1.4 is my go-to lens for low light. Cost me $180 on EBay. I have a Nikon mount version with a $25 Fotodiox G-mount adapter (with aperture control ring) - works fine.

@PW - it seems there are several different Fotodiox M4/3-Nikon G adapters. This one seems the closest to what I have, although it's not identical and seems pricier than what I recall paying: http://www.fotodioxpro.com/lens-mou...ra-lens-mount-adapter-with-aperture-dial.html

This one is cheaper, but is quite different from mine so can't say how it performs: http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Adapter-Olympus-Panasonic-Cameras/dp/B003Y2XN9G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394571503&sr=8-1&keywords=fotodiox+m4%2F3+nikon
