Panasonic to dismantle digital camera business

Earth has 24 hour days. How do you get 28 hours time difference between two places?

He's on the International Space Station?

AFAIK the only way of "stretching" the day beyond 24 hours is by some fancy flying (in the right direction) and using Local Time in each place you stop.

However normally businesses don't release Press releases Dated for a Saturday (to catch a time zone somewhere else) burt they do repeals them on April 1st....

The 28nm chips don't overheat because evidently Panasonics software and/or cooling is that much better. Apple has long used inferior hardware in it's products (namely RAM in iPhone, processor on Macs historically though that's changing) and maintained a performance advantage due to the better software, whereas Android has had to brute force it.

The big advantage to 28nm is cost. If Panny did 14nm no doubt they could improve the camera's processing even further, but the fab requirements would no doubt push the price point too far upwards. On the bright side, a move to 14nm or smaller on next gen is inevitable, which will allow for some large processing improvements.

It was released in Japan and datelined Saturday which is not normal. If you want it released on Monday in the US you dateline it Monday USA. Or release it on Monday in Japan.
Especially if the Saturday is April 1st.

April 1st is the start of a new fiscal year in Japan, so that's when many new organizational changes take effect.

1st April is also the start of the fiscal year in the UK but you would not normally put out a press release on a Saturday. It would go out on the first business day as would the business changes.
