Panasonic HVX200- solid like a ROCK!!!!

LOL - I seriously laughed out Loud. I know bad, but WOW. YOU ARE ONE LUCKY PERSON! GO PANNY!

HOW DID IT FALL, DO you have BTS pics?

Seriously just as funny the 3rd and 4th time watching.

I can relate, not long after shooting my film, I dislocated my left shoulder leaping to catch my hvx as it was falling out a 3 story window. caught her by my fingers, that 12 pounf camera yanked my arm right out. Panny's ok though

You made the right move - shoulders heal.

no, i've been able to put my arms back in their sockets myself since I was 13 Just hurt like a mofo, for a couple months

Wow, I knew what would happen because I read the posts first, and the suspense was killing me! I had to pause it half way and resume. I couldn't take it. I fly my camera up on an eight foot jib all the time and this is my nightmare realized.

Glad to hear nothing seems seriously wrong.

Thank you very much for your compassion :-)
we have made meticulous check up and nothing was damaged on the cam.
we have shot the next scene 15mn after the accident.
The Brevis was in 2 parts but nothing serious and the french flag was very twisted.
2 days later, i'm thinking that i was very lucky and reconsidering the notion of security...

i will post some grabs this week.

regards. guillaume

Now there's a pretty good case for always leaving loop record on!

Scary stuff - I presume no one was injured by the jib/crane when it took off? (can be very dangerous).

And not a single "dropped" frame ... gotta love solid state. :) Lets see a FireStore do that.

Seriously, dude - you don't keep a pogo stick mounted opposite the camera on the end of your jib? I thought that was pretty standard practice. The boingy noises are pretty good sound effects, too!
