If the independant stations can't keep up, let em die. It's a hard-ball world, and nobody has anytime to spare for some 'bust out humanitarians' down on their luck as of late.

If I may reporduce a post by BILL in the DV forum for everyone to enjoy. I enjoyed it, at least:

DVX100 owner: "The XL1 and PD150 are dead, the DVX100 shoots 24p and looks just like film..."

XL2 owner: "The DVX100 is dead, the XL2 has 16:9 chips and 24p and looks just like film.

Sony HDV owner (next year): "The DVX100 and XL2 are dead, the HDVcam has 16:9, shoots HD in 24/30p and looks just like film, DV is dead..."*

Indy filmmaker who's done half a dozen docs and has a feature in distribution and doesn't own any camera: "Uh...what's 24p? I just shoot the stuff with whatever I can afford..."
