Panasonic G2 commercial shot with Canon 5DMkII?

Panasonic don't seem to give their own stuff enough credit or at least don't get involved in pushing their own stuff enough (Zacuto, etc.).

Hilarious :) Canon does G2! But seriously, Canon is pretty much the only DSLR being used for commercials be it 5D2, 7D or 1D4.

Question is if the client was on set and if so how did he/she think when they saw a Canon camera that close the G2?

During the Wimbledon broadcast today I saw an HD broadcast of an Olympus Pen commercial, which ended with "perhaps the most extraordinary thing about the Pen, is that this commercial was shot on one."

It looked pretty decent. Nothing special, but certainly acceptable.

AVCHD "lite" isn't bad, it just means no 1080. It doesn't mean it uses a lower bitrate or worse compression, it just means there's only 720p.

If the production company had any emotional IQ about this, they would pull that video immediately. If I'm hired to do a spot for Applebee's, you darn sure wouldn't see a "making of" video showing crew catering from Chili's!

lol, good point. Although it would make for a rather funny conversation piece.

Guys, for every person here that is saying heads will roll there are a 1000 people this is being marketed to that don't give a crap/don't know the difference.

People really like being a bit sensational here huh?

Yeah this stuff happens all the time. I did a commercial once a few years ago for a consumer JVC camcorder on a EX3. But what these guys here did wrong was to film the making of and then wake a little web video of it. Who the hell at Panasonic oK'd that?
