Not that I know of, but you can contact them both for details. Generally a Demo Day is first come / first serve. I think the hours are 11-2 but there's likely more info on their respective websites. Or just call ahead. I do suspect there will be a lot of people interested in coming in to spend some time outside of the trade show atmosphere. I suggest you come find me early. But it's not like I'm going to slam the door once we hit the scheduled end time.

Thanks!

That's the generic slide background to the first slide in my presentation.

OK, here's some exclusive info just for you guys. Even though I've been a Mac guy for the last decade, Panasonic is Windows so I did my presentation in PowerPoint for the first time instead of Keynote. Took some getting used to but it worked out fine.

There, now you have exclusive info. :-)

So it doesn't do ProRes....

Mitch, I'll be at Cinegear, but all I wanna know is, when will it be available to purchase?!? I just came back from a month in Texas shooting the intros, interviews and pickups for a whole season of outdoor television using 90% GH5 and 10% FS5. I LOVED the GH5, but if you guys have something with internal ND's and the Varicam sensor I will buy it immediately. I'll still keep the GH5 but I NEED this new camera for the work we do. Anything with GH5 specs and internal ND's and I'm in. Everything else is gravy.

Hi Sheldon, at NAB we noted that the new camera would be Previewed at CineGear and available in the Fall. We're still on track for that, although I imagine that resellers will start taking preorders before the camera actually ships.

Are the Panasonic presentations streamed real time on YouTube?

Not sure about our other presentations (Panasonic has three this CineGear), but the New Camera Preview will stream using Facebook Live from our Facebook page, Panasonic Pro Video. I believe several of our sister accounts such as the European group will also offer the live stream.

If we stream them or even better if you can attend, the other two Panasonic presentations are going to be quite interesting as well. One is DP Bill Wage, ASC discussing how his use of Dual Native ISO and other features of VariCam have informed his shooting, and the other is a case study on shooting anamorphic on VariCam with some stunningly beautiful footage.

Will Bill's presentation be publicly available after CG?
