I have plenty of work to do without writing a book. I wrote the user manuals for everything coming out of Convergent Design and that was enough to put me off "Manual Labor" forever.

He is? Think this would be the perfect camera for Barry to book up on.
"Manual Labor"
Hitting the dog days of summer...When do we expect to hear the next round of news/specs for the EVA1 Mitch?
First they have to put a battery in it and fire it up. I haven't seen the camera powered on or even with a battery in the battery slot.
I'll be in Japan next week if that tells you anything.
The Eva will be about $15k with everything and with a cine lens or two. The cost can go up from there; external recorder, batteries, cards, etc etc.
I will wait until I see image quality. The S35 sensor is a good move. I have a Gh4 which has a nice image for what it costs. Maybe I can get away with spending $15k.
You can get away with spending $8K if the camera is $7K, or $9K if it's $8K...not sure what you're budgeting for, but an extra $7K-$8K of accessories is not realistic for most people. But it sounds like you're cooking up something!

Not realistic for most people or not realistic for most people buying a camera in this price class? I think we all know that you can easily spend more than the price of a camera(any camera) on its "accessories", whether it be glass, support or whatever. Especially glass. I'd have to go back to my original VariCam to have spent more on the body than glass (and that was only until I added a second lens). I'd even say that as cameras get less expensive, it's becoming even easier to 'out spend', so to speak, on accessories than camera bodies.
Have you priced cinema lenses?
