That looks exactly like the DuelAdapter, which has been prone to failure.

my duel adapter just died rogar-Mad(DBG):

luckily I still have an old g4 powerbook but isnt there another option?

any idea if it will also work ? I hate this cable of the duel and am sure it either broke in itself or got ripped out off one of the two sides.

Those adapters work great on Windows, but I don't think any of them (other than the Duel) will work on Mac hardware.

one last thing: my old duel has a ferrite block on the cable, the new one I just bought here:

is the only fair price I found but doesnt seem to have the ferrite as the image of the supposed panasonic model in the first postings of this thread.
It will be here next week and I will report ...
