Panasonic announces availability of 14-140 lens firmware update

Your abit slow, thats old news already
How do I tell which of the download choices on this confusing Panasonic download page is for the 14 to 140 lens that came in my kit. Is it supposed to be obvious from the numbers? Is it the one that is highlighted in black bold? This is the one that says ver. 1.3. http://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/download/fts/index2.html

frosti7 you shouldn't believe in rumours! altho heres another one for you...
john conner becomes a terminator, thats the reason they have wanted to save him the whole time... yes the baddies! plus if you look at the terminator salvation posters that have the half face from the darkness photo style, it looks like they have tried to make john conner look like big arnie! it could even be an overlay of certain features, hint to where the story is going perhaps...
as john connor says in salvation... this is not the future my mother warned me about! meaning throw away what you know!
a guide to reading movie posters :smile:
1. symmetrical format suggesting a mirror of two opposites, good on the right (marcus) and evil on the left (connor) hinted at by the direction of the eye brows, connors same as the terminator.
2. the arnie like look of connor.
3. connors eye colour is the same as the steel and industry of the machines, and marcus has a nice human colour.
4. notice the direction of the light sparks passing from connor through the terminator to marcus, as they say... follow the light, the light is your guide.
5. terminator salvation... who is the savour? it suggests a question but lets everyone make the wrong presumption.
6. technically both faces have a red eye from the middle terminator as their own.
all this could be just my imagination but i do know for fact that the people who make all the posters and artwork do like to use a bit of symbolism, everyone does who creates wether they are conscious of it on not.
anyways it was fun talking about it as i'm hyped about the relevance of the terminator story in our current times.

OK, Confirmed. I updated the lens firmware without disturbing the hack!! I'm at 0.0 for body, 1.3 for lens. I was nervous but it worked perfectly. Followed the directions on the final download page from Panasonic. (except for the recommendation that I upgrade the body firmware BEFORE upgrading the lens firmware). No thanks to that offer.

it does seem to stabilize noticeably better at 140mm! (distant object)

Do you have the hack installed?
I installed it and it works pretty good. It does not affect the hack.

Is it recommended that you hack the GH1 to GH13 first and then update the lense firmware? I haven't had a chance to hack mine yet.
If I update the lense first, will it lock up the GH1 body firmware protection scheme?
