Panasonic and Edius Neo 2.5...Help!

For users of both the full version of EDUS and Neo, I was able to get both the 3D picture-in-picture and beta AE Bridge working in Neo 2.5 by simply copying the corresponding plugin files from the EDIUS install to the Neo 2.5 install directory. Of course, you cannot have both apps installed at once so be sure to copy the plugin files somewhere else before uninstalling EDIUS and installing Neo.

You my friend are awesome! I emailed them and they responded within about 2 hours with apologies for the delay. They will be sending the correct disc, and gave me the 2.0 serial.

I love this forum! Thanks for the help! :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

To follow up on that, I received a phone call today wnating my address as they were shipping the disc out today. Should have it in 3 dyas or so. :2vrolijk_08:

I just received in the mail today, and EDIUS 2.0 Booster install disc. That was pretty fast, once the right info got to the right person.

There have been many reported issues with the Panasonic registration site once AVCCAMs switched over from bundle EDIUS Neo 2 to EDIUS Neo 2 Booster.

We have requested that Panasonic make it clearer on this site that there are two separate registration processes and it is key that you register the right product. If you have EDIUS Neo 2 and try to register EDIUS Neo 2 Booster (or vice versa) you will get a serial number that does not work. It has also been reported that even if you register the right product you may get a wrong serial number that does not work. We are verifying where the problems are and we are working to get this resolved ASAP with Panasonic.

If you received EDIUS Neo 2 with your AVCCAM and want to upgrade to the new EDIUS Neo 2 Booster, check your purchase date. There is a window where Panasonic will offer a free upgrade to the Booster version - depending on the date of purchase on your invoice. If you fall outside that window, the upgrade version of EDIUS Neo 2 Booster (for current users of EDIUS Neo 2) is available at a modest price at any seller of Grass Valley EDIUS products.

Edius Neo 2.5 - TAPE CAPTURE?

Edius Neo 2.5 - TAPE CAPTURE?

I just received Edius Neo 2. Panasonic ignored my request for Neo 2.5 upgrade (just bought HMC151 in September 2009, I think the upgrade is free in October 2009?

I contacted Grass Valley UK for free upgrade - nothing doing! Tried downloads - no chance.

Decided to cut the hassle and purchased the upgrade from Siren Tech UK, next day delivery. All works great.

I am now trying to import my video tape into Edius, but just can't get anywhere with it.

Can anyone help me and give me a simple step-by-step guide to capturing tape?

Grass Valley has nothing to do with this offer or upgrade with the camera. You must do it through Panasonic. Use the email address that I provided earlier in this thread.

If you are using Edius the best bet is to use the free AVCHD2HQ decoder (at least until they put this new Booster in Edius).
