It seems as if Panasonic is realizing that the Panasonic AJ-PCS060G 60 gig P2 transfer device was way over priced.
I have just seen it on B&H for $1,600.
To me that still seems high as everyone else is scrambling to find cheaper and larger storage solutions. That device should be able to sell for $600 considering it is essentially a Cardbus 32 slot with a 60 gig hard drive.
The demand seems to be there for an aftermarket company to make a similiar device, maybe even to include other such media to include SD for the sanyo, and Compact flash for still photographers. Maybe they can also include a playback screen, but that would be tricky.
I know, I am dreaming.
Since the price seems to have dropped on the Panasonic AJ-PCS060G.
What is the cheapest price currently on this?
I might spring for $900, or a grand, but $1,600 just seems like Panasonic is sticking it to us, because they can, not offering us something inline with the value or sum of it's components......not even close.
