Panasonic AG-AF100 Battery?

[turetzEddie]

When I bought HMC150, only thing I wasn't happy with was the battery was different than HVX/HPX and DVX battery.
I spent over $450 for 3 Batteries for HMC150.

Now Panasonic AG-AF100 is coming out very soon, does anyone know what kind of battery does it take?

Sorry, I couldn't find AF100 forum.

its avccam so im optimistic its the same.. plus there are now cheap knockoffs that work with the new batteries! high five

Yeah, I would bet that it will use the same batteries as the HMC150.

any official word on this yet? Would like to pre order everything needed for this camera before it arrives.

[Barry_Green]

Yes, the official word is that it uses AVCCAM batteries. The same ones as used by the HMC150, HMC40, and HMC80.

this the one? Also, is this the highest capacity version available?

Not to stir up controversy, but in the following review video, I could swear that the AF101 is using an HVX/DVX battery on the back.

The batteries look almost identical - it's the tabs that are different.
As Barry mentioned it uses the same batteries as the HMC150, HMC40, and HMC80.

It uses the same batteries at the HMC150. No need for concern.

This is awesome news.. One thing too the body looks smaller than the 150 and possibly lighter. I know there's the lens to consider but is this true? Either way, the pedegree of the 150 Is really great. The only gripe I have is where the audio controls are located.. On the HVX it was much more convenient being in the back for handheld but it's a minor thing really. I just know this will be a great addition and with the lowered price of the 150 now I'ts not even really worth me selling it. I'd probably only get 2k for it and it's worth more to just keep it as its'll be a great C camera.

cheers all and happy holidays from chilly Florida.
