Panasonic 14mm f/2.5

So nikon's 14mm is like $1700, and Canon's is about $2000...And their lenses are slightly slower. Although according to wikipedia, m43 should theoretically be a cheaper format. Not really reflected in panasonic's 8mm. But looking at sample photos, its nice to know actually, how little i would actually use the lens even if it was half the price it is. But the Panasonic 14mm can be so much more applicable and a more useful (in that i would use it more) lens. And with panasonic's software correction to correct distortion, 14mm is wide without looking too distracting, given you're not using it for a close up on anything.

So this is kind of a bs post (sorry, there has to be some room on here for shootin the ish) / prayer that that damn lens, i just hope it ain't too much more than the 20mm. Or rather, maybe the 14mm will be so expensive it will liberate me from thinking i can get it and i can move on with my life. With the cheap ass 14-42(5)mm.

Longer primes and constant aperture zooms are all that's really left right? panasonic? Speaking of constant aperture zooms, if i were panasonic and i just released a 14mm f/2.5, how likely am i to come up with something like a 17-50mm 2.8? I guess price of each lens would determine that decision...
