Panasonic 14-45 - can't focus in video mode

I just bought the panasonic 14-45, I can focus before starting shooting video with my gh1, but the moment I start shooting video it just won't focus anything. What am I missing here? Maybe some settings?

I just found out that this lens cannot autofocus if recording in AVCHD FHD, that's disappointing, the question is why? Just so you have to buy the 14-140?

See page 52 of your owners manual; make sure the little knob on the top right of the camera is set to the middle position, AFC-this is auto-focus continuous.
I'm still not sure if, once you half-press the shutter button, and start shooting video, if you need to keep the shutter button continuously pressed for auto-focus during recording, or not.

OH, and I have the exact same lens as you, and it auto-focuses during recording FHD just fine.

I've tried both AFC and AFS, neither of them work. I've looked at all the setting in the camera and I still cannot figure out why it doesn't focus during FHD video.
My gh1 has the 100mbit hack, maybe that's the reason? I will try the lens with the original firmware and see if it works.
