Please excuse my lack of knowledge here, but I've worked exclusively in the US since the mid 70s and I'd like to broaden my horizons.
I did produce an industrial short in March for a London based client, but it was for web and computer distribution... shot 720 30p and delivered MOV, FLV, H264, and AVI files to client in various resolutions.
I've been asked for a proposal to be shot in Europe... it's an industrial. I know the AF will shoot PAL as an "International Camera"...
What I'd like to know is: do most Euro clients play PAL Blue Ray... if there is such a thing...
The deliverables will be a 10 min version for exhibition and a 3 min version for presentations. I assume the presentations will be played from a computer. I'm not sure what the longer version will be played on... I assume it will be Blue Ray or DVD... or whatever the current flavor is.
If I shoot in PAL, I can edit in Premier, but will it be as good/better to shoot in PAL or convert.
Typically, I shoot 1080 30p.
Thanks so much for everything I've gleaned over the years and thanks in advance for anyone who has anything helpful to offer.
Best Regards
