Pal/NTSC in 7d or T21

Hi I'm just wondering if there is any difference between Pal and NTSC in 7D or T2i...

I thought as a still camera there would be no difference...

But had a salesman on the phone going on about grey market stuff and how the US versions are NTSC video out...

Is that correct...

I'd thought I'd pick up a camera in the states while travelling but I'll need it PAL as I'm based in Australia...

Cheers

Canon has this philosophy where they only produce one version of a camera for the entire world. Different regions might have slightly different language options, but otherwise, they're all the same. All of the cameras are switchable between PAL and NTSC modes. Buying gray market means that you won't get a warranty from the country in which you bought the product.

(FYI, Panasonic has a different philosophy regarding their consumer products. There are different versions of the GH1 for PAL and NTSC markets.)

The 7D and T2i can be switched from PAL to NTSC and vice versa through the menu. You can do this with any 7D or T2i regardless of where you bought it.
