GH2 PAL GH2 hack

Until now I dismissed GH2 hack improvements because I was reading that it didn't hold any real differences, but I'm reading more and more reviews stating that things are different now with new GOP settings and higher rates.

My question is:

Are those improvements only seen in 24P (which is useless for me since I'm in a PAL land), or can I benefit from those hack improvements on 1080i settings?
 
If you go to personal view, they're saying Panny have promised a 25P firmware upgrade in December.

I too live in PAL land so I share your frustration. But shooting and finishing in 24P is not that big of a deal. Modern DVD and Blu Ray players, TVs and computers can handle 24P in PAL land, and I haven;t had any problems with flickering fluros if I keep the shutter speed at 1/50th. It's only broadcast that's 25P, and if someone's shooting for broadcast they'd normally be able to budget for a broadcast quality camera, not a gh2.

In any case, next month your problems could be solved.
