P2store workflow in Vista??

Hello everyone,

I got into a project for which we need to offload the P2Store several times a day into a laptop running Windows Vista.

I'm having the hardest time with this. P2CMS doesn't support Vista, P2Viewer crashes all the time, and when I try to drag and drop files using Windows Explorer... an error pops up saying Invalid MS-DOS function, so there's no way to copy the files!

I even tried running the Copy command in CMD. That seems to work sometimes, but often the transfer just tilts and I'm forced to power off the P2Viewer to regain control of the system (or else it keeps saying Transferring for hours, although the USB light on the P2 has gone off).

So, I'd like to know what your current workflow is. How do you offload the cards from the P2Store? Are you guys having troubles too or maybe this freakin laptop is just defective (Sony Vaio 1.6Ghz dual core)?

Those Mac commercials are funny for a reason, Vista has issues.

Do you have an old laptop with XP and an old pcmcia slot on it? - or maybe an old XP disc you can install onto your new laptop?

It's been a while now, as a PC user, Im kind of surprised MS hasn't come up with a fix for all the driver issues with Vista - we'll have to wait and see.
