P2CMS question

I've just got a PowerBook to use on the field to offload cards... thing is that when I look for a P2 card manager software (on the panasonic website) they are all intended for Intel Macs only... is there a free version for not intel Power books? I want to be able to use the PCMCI slot in the machine... any help will be much appreciated....

Have you tried the download for the MAC, it should work. It will probably run a littleslower than what it would on the Intel Mac, but it should work. I think that when they posted it they wanted folks to know that it would work with the MAC Books. But it is still chggin away on the Power Books.

Best,

Jan

Thanks for the reply Jan... I'll have a look again but I'm sure all the options I've tried mention specifically that they won't work on Power Macs... only Intel... Bummer

P2CMS works on my Powerbook G4. I just don't use it. I use ShotPut Pro from imagineproducts.com. P2CMS is a horrible interface...IMHO.

ShotPut Pro, I guess that's a paid one... I've spent so much money already... anyway, thanks for the prompt help...

Truer words have never been spoken. If a filmmaker put out a film or anything that looked as bad as P2CMS does for software, he/she would never work professionally again.

Panasonic ought to be ashamed of itself for putting out such a user-unfriendly piece of software. Not only that, but it's clear that the English version wasn't programmed by anyone who is literate in this language.

Jan,
Would you happen to know if Panny intend updating/improving P2CMS or not? I'm sure you'd admit it's currently errr.... 'quirky'
Cheers
