P2CMS question

I've been using P2CMS on a Macbookpro for a while manly for P2 card backups and shot reviews. It is very easy to use and seams to be quite stable. One problem I do have with it is that all the media files I copy to the backup destination become locked. In order to delete them I need to open up (APPLE I) each individual file (each MXF, audio, XML etc... in the their folders in the CONTENT folder) and unlock them. At the end of a long shoot that could easily result in having hundreds of files to unlock this is a headache.
Is there a setting for the program to copy over files to the database unlocked?
Thanks.

is there an "ignore permissions" for the P2 card? when using external SCSI drives and such, you have that option as well. Perhaps the P2 can be mounted that way.

What I have been doing to unlock/lock muliple files isby selecting all the files and holding down "Option", "Apple", "i". This brings up one Info window for the selected files.

Couldn't find any settings to create unlocked files or "ignore permissions" and I went through the entire, Yoda language style written users manual of the program. So I guess we need to "Option", "Apple" "I" each database before copying it to a clients HDD or storage device.
Thanks for your replies.

Reread the second post.

You DO NOT need to unlock the files - to use or to move.

If you want to delete them - hold down "option" while you are emptying the trash.

Actually I meant to write hold down "option" when emptying the trash was a late night when I wrote my last reply to this post. Thanks again for your replies.
