P2CMS hanging on 32gig card 'export'

following Barry's proper P2 offloading post to the letter, the transfer hangs after only 180 meg or so of a 20Gig offload effort. What shall I do?

oh. running PSCMS ver. 1.1.4 on Mac G5 10.5.8

after app hangs, it won't cancel the copying operation, it won't Force Quit. I have to shut down the computer.

I guess I'll try hand-dragging stuff off of there... I HAVE to have this footage! - Edit -

Didn't work. -36 OS error. Since I have Calibrated's codec loaded, I can play the VIDEO clips with Quicktime. No dice on the clips in the card. I can play them back real nice in-camera, but no joy getting the data off the card. Is there some sort of disk utility I can run on that thing?! I'm stumped now.

Tried to have my Avid Media Composer 3.5.4 see the material via AMA, but the volume loaded without clips being available. Nothing was in the bin. Still available in the camera, and no funky exclamation points or red x's. Just can't get it off the camera. Trying to backup to my PCS060 P2Store now. Uploaded the latest driver for Mac (v1.50) to try again. Any thoughts, anyone?

Downloaded latest drivers for Mac, restarted and now can see the files. It SEEMS like I'm back in business.

Hi Bill,

Are you sure that OSX 10.5.8 is ok?. I run Media Composer 3.13 on 10.5.7. I tried 10.5.8 as a general operating system and had a number of random issues with it and P2 software. You say that you are running P2CMS ver. 1.1.4, but I have a Powerbook G4 as an off load workstation and it is running ver. 1.1.9 on OS 10.4.11.

i'm running the pcmcia driver version 1.50 on the powerbook.

I also highlight the Contents Folder and Lastclip.txt on my write protect P2 card and drag into a new folder on external firewire hdd or firewire raid. I have todate not had a corrupt file and I have been doing it for over 18 months.

Steve.
