P2CMS App has no LASTTEXT.TXT

Using the P2CMS doesn't produce a LASTCLIP.TXT file. Is this right? The footage ingests fine in FCP but the last text file always seemed to the central file that linked all the directories.

The LASTCLIP.TXT file is only needed by the camera so it can tell what clip it last recorded to. FCP did at one point look for the file, but does not any longer -- I'm not sure exactly when that changed. I know Edius under Windows also doesn't need it.

The main reason for Lastclip.txt is to track spanned clips across P2 cards. With P2CMS all clips are centrally indexed on an individual level so there's no longer a need for it.
