P2 Workflow On Safari?

I'm shooting 1080i on a safari in Kenya. We'll be out in the bush for 2 weeks. What's the best and most reliable way to off load P2 footage to hard drives using a Mac Book Pro?
The safari vehicles have 120 volt AC converters to power hardware. It will be a really bumpy, dusty ride so I'm also wondering what would be the best protection for the hard drives. Pelican cases? What's the most reliable hard drive?

Thanks much!

Thanks all for your responses. Is there any advantage to using P2CMS over FCP log & transfer to off load P2 cards?

Brad,
P2cms keeps the .mxf and metadata intact AND it can verify the copy. FCP makes a copy of the p2 and converts the MXF header to a quicktime. No MetaData is copied! This may not be a problem for your workflow.

I copy with a drag and drop or more recently with p2CMS. I then use raylight to natively read the .mxf files.

If you have the HDD space, the most redundant way to do it would be P2CMS copy the files and then ingest them to FCP ('converting' them to quicktimes). You would then have two copies in two different places and also have the metadata (without having to buy raylight).
