P2 stored on PC edit on Mac in Avid x pro

We captured images on P2 cards dumped into a P2 store and then dumped into an external HD using a PC...now for editing we are using a Mac with Avid express pro. We were able to open the audio and video files only...will this be a problem that only 2 of the 6 subfolders from the contents are being imported???
Any input would be helpful:dankk2:

- Create a folder called "Transfers" on your Avid media drive separate from your Avid MediaFiles folder.

- From your stored P2 folders move the .mxf files in the Video folder and the Audio folder to the "Transfers" folder on your Avid Media drive.

- Then, once the .mxf files have finished transfering select them all again and move them from the "Transfers" folder to your Avid MediaFiles> MXF> 1 folder.

You will now be able to import your files through the Avid's Media tool instantly. Ensure you select Master Clips only.

If you want to keep your footage a little more organized you can name the folder to whatever you wish AFTER you have loaded the Avid software (where it rebuilds the media data bases) i.e.: if your folder was called 1 you can now add a naming extention: 1.my project name

Subsequent folders would follow the same proceedure: 2.my other project name

etc.

Remember to add the names AFTER you have loaded the clips in the Avid first or you will not be able to locate the clips at all.

I work with both PC and Mac Avids together and this method works flawlessly.

Good Luck!
