P2 Store Transfer to Mac...

I have looked for the answer to this, and have not found it -- if it's been posted, I apologize.

PLEASE tell me there is another way to copy footage from the P2 Store to a Mac other than copying each partition one by one. My P2 Store has 15 partitions, and I've been sitting here for over an hour copying each one over into another folder on my system. One at a time. 5 minutes per "No Name" partition x 15. This is CRAZY.

Am I totally missing something here? Is there not one "Copy All" option somewhere???

Thanks.

Between this, the lack of an actual firewire connection instead of USB, the very poor excuse for a naming system, the relatively small drive size, the lack of Mac a Mac P2 viewer, and the decision to not provide a power source, I have to say that I COMPLETELY think Panasonic really flaked on this product.

Try P2 Genie - a shareware developed by a wonderful chap called Anders who posts on this board. It automatically recognises and copies etc with one button click. Demo is free, full version $30 ish I think. Worth every darn penny/cent.

Goonie,

I have to agree. I'm shooting my first HVX project this weekend and I'm pooing my pants.

It's like the Panny team were so stoked off their HVX gamma curve that they forgot how many F*ckin' MAC users there are out there.

Are they retarded? No P2 viewer for MAC? Unacceptable!!! Really....Panny, come on, your cams rocks but what the hell were you thinking? You really couldn't find some one who could write a script that'll work for MAC?

Well thank god for Anders.

And he made your progam writers look like drunk children.

Either P2 Genie or P2 log will do the job. I actually like to use P2 Genie to do the copy and then P2 Log to catalog and then delete unwanted media.

Is Panny releasing a P2 viewer application for the Mac so we don't have to pay for third-party software?
