P2 Repair

Hi Guys,
that's interesting, I thought P2 cards could at least take the "punishment" we give our mobile phones, at least they should be able to at the cost of each one ?.
Cheers

Could you offer a bit more detail on how it was dropped? It would seem a simple drop from the hand to the floor should be tolerable. Was it more extreme than that? It would be good to know what kinds of thresholds of durability they might have.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune - I hope you can get it fixed affordably.

It was likely more severe of an impact than would have ocurred from dropping it on the floor. The camera fell about 12 feet onto blacktop and both cards were ejected on impact. One works, one doesn't.

To our total amazement the camera still worked after the fall! It needed just under a grand in repairs. Got it back this week and it works like new.

Our HVX's are mounted on large twin cylinder gasoline powered RC helicams. Helicopters do two things well. Fly and vibrate. After hundreds of flights we are more than pleased with how well the HVX has held up. The HVX provides a smoother, better quality image than any other camera we have tried so far in this environment.
