I have read that its a no no to delete -- certain -- files...as it can somehow screw things up?

so say I have: Contents folder > Video/0004JV.MXF + 30 other XXXXXX.MXF's.

I want to delete just 0004JV.MXF

Will deleting it actually create issues??

If i want to delete it, how can I know the corresponding Audio is deleted along with it.

I'm asking bcuz i have several Contents folders that are about 1/2 garbage and half not...would like to get rid of garbage. Please note I am talking about hundreds of GB of files so its kind of something I'd really like to be able to do.

If you delete it through P2 Viewer or P2 Contents Management Software, you'll have no problems whatsoever. If you go in and delete individual files, it may or may not mess up programs like FCP's Log & Transfer.
